On Tuesday’s episode of the PBD Podcast, Patrick Bet-David was joined by former news anchor and one-time Arizona gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. Lake has been at the forefront of the battle to secure America’s elections after her loss in 2022, becoming a vocal supporter of Donald Trump’s MAGA movement.

Alongside the rest of the Home Team, Lake and PBD addressed the media’s effort to undermine Trump since 2016, the fight against election fraud, and her political ambitions.

Here are some of the main takeaways from the latest episode:

1. “Lap Dogs Became Attack Dogs” – The Mainstream Media’s Anti-Trump Bias

As a former journalist and news anchor, Lake has nearly two decades of experience with the inner workings of the mainstream media. In that time, she saw the journalistic standards shift after Donald Trump’s 2016 run and then collapse during the COVID pandemic.

The media was nothing but sympathetic to Barack Obama, but Lake described how every major network suddenly went on the offensive once Trump came down the escalator and announced his campaign. The “Five Families” of the media organized to attack Trump, revealing just how corrupt the system really is.

Even Fox News, which sold itself as the best conservative outlet, adopted what Lake called “an anyone-but-Trump” approach that continues to this day. “They’re protecting the Globalist Agenda,” she argued.

2. “Don’t Walk Away from a Noble Fight” – Kari Lake on Election Denial

Since losing the Arizona Governor’s race to Katie Hobbs in 2022, Lake has become the face of “election denial” for the Republican Party. She currently has several lawsuits pending at the state and federal levels to contest the election results and expose corruption in the system. Lake alleges that voting machines suspiciously malfunctioned, leading to closed polling precincts all across Arizona on election day.

But with so many factors in her favor, many people are encouraging Lake to drop the issue and focus on the future instead—so why does she continue fighting over 2022?

“I don’t walk away from a noble fight,” Lake said simply. If she were to give up on the fight to secure Arizona’s elections, she would see it as a betrayal of every voter who was cheated by the corrupt process. However, Lake expressed confidence that she is not fighting alone. More and more people are waking up to the reality of election fraud, and the corrupt system will eventually be brought to light.

3. “Powerful People Back East” – Kari Lake’s Political Future

Even as she continues to contest the results of Arizona’s 2022 election, Lake is still focused on her political future as well. She has a clear strategy to secure Arizona’s border and revamp its struggling education system, putting her in an ideal position to challenge “Independent” Senator Kyrsten Sinema for her seat. At the same time, her name has been floated as a contender for Donald Trump’s running mate in 2024—although she had no comment on those specific rumors.

The future looks bright for Kari Lake’s political career, and she commended Trump’s ongoing efforts to pull America back from the brink. However, her upward trajectory won’t come without challenges.

Without naming names, Lake told PBD about how she received a very profitable job offer from “powerful people back East”…and all she had to do was stay out of politics in 2024. But in the face of people willing to bribe or discredit her, Lake refuses to give those “powerful people” the satisfaction of seeing her on the sidelines.

4. “The Fantasy of the Uni-Party” – The DeSantis-Newsom Debate

Turning attention to Trump’s challengers in the Republican primary, Patrick raised the subject of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ upcoming debate with California Governor Gavin Newsom. The face-off between the East and West Coast governors is being marketed as a decisive political showdown…but Lake isn’t convinced.

According to Lake, DeSantis vs. Newsom is the “fantasy of the uni-party” that wants the two of them to replace Trump and Biden. With Newsom running a kind of shadow campaign already, he may take Biden’s place before 2024. But why would the left-leaning media want DeSantis at the forefront as well?

Lake also accused DeSantis of lying about his actions during the pandemic, highlighting that the Florida governor closed down the beaches, called for masking, and promoted vaccines just like every other politician.

5. “Bill Clinton Walks into a Bowling Alley…” – Why the Clintons are Back in the News

During a weekend trip to New York City, Patrick and the Home Team spent a morning in a bowling alley with their families. In a coincidence almost too crazy to believe, PBD was discussing his desire to interview Bill Clinton mere seconds before the former president walked through the front door.

But while Bill Clinton was out shaking hands with the Home Team, Hillary Clinton was sitting down with former Press Secretary Jen Psaki to raise awareness for “Russian election interference.” During her interview, Clinton (the architect of the Russian Collusion Hoax) predicted that Vladimir Putin will likely try to influence the 2024 election.

“The gaslighting is off the charts,” Lake said. “This is a repeat of what they’ve been doing for the last eight years.” Clearly, Bill is still far better at political marketing than Hillary.

But that’s not all Kari Lake had to say. Watch the full episode for more about Donald Trump’s search for a vice president, the Bob Menendez indictment, and Michelle Obama’s presidential future.
