There’s bombshell news coming out of the UK that isn’t getting traction in the mainstream media.

The Telegraph, a legacy British newspaper, obtained over 100,000 whatsapp messages from government officials handling the lockdown in the UK during the pandemic. Whatsapp is a popular texting application used mainly outside of the USA.

The UK had some of the strictest lockdown policies in the world. One message found was from Health Minister Michael Hancock. After protests and criticisms came bubbling up during a prolonged term in lockdown, Hancock said he needed to “deploy” more extreme news on covid in order to, and yes I quote, “frighten the pants of everyone.” News not based on science, number of cases, or in response to increasing deaths. News just based on fear, admitted plainly by the man in charge of the UK’s health. He even later referred to his project as “Project Fear”. Doesn’t get more direct than that.

Then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson campaigned as a conservative figure. But his lockdown policies weren’t particularly conservative. Text messages show that he was looking at opening schools in the first year of the pandemic before the summer hit, giving kids at least a handful of months of in person education. But then came Hancock. The Health Minister convinced Johnson to stand down, saying “everyone’s accepted there won’t be more on schools until September.” He used selective polling to convince the Prime Minister not to reopen schools until much later than initially desired.

Further text messages reveal that the Cabinet Secretary, Thomas Case, took glee in quarantining Brits after they returned home from a country that had high rates of Covid. Being put in tiny hotels, Case bragged that those stuck were undergoing a living situation similar to those at Guantanamo Bay.

There was also open conversation about slashing local funding to members of parliament that expressed skepticism of the vaccine. So far, the UK government has failed to comment, but there might not be a need. The BBC hasn’t mentioned a peep on this story. But we’ll tell you if there are any developments, as you might agree, these messages prove a deliberate effort to control the civil liberties of Brits, illegally punish parliament members opposed to the strict lockdown policy, and a concerted effort to frighten the populace. Sounds pretty important, don’t you think?
