The new navigation system from Ford takes motorists off the road…on purpose. Built for varying levels of terrain, the 2023 Ford Bronco Everglades can withstand muddy trails and its accompanying Bronco Trail App helps the driver find 18,000 miles of off-pavement routes in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

The app is compatible with both Apple and Android phones, while the Bronco’s “infotainment” system displays the maps.

Expertly curated, the 1,200 various trails are detailed to disclose features such as length and difficulty. In addition, points of interest are highlighted along the routes, and users can bookmark their own locations for future reference.

The Bronco’s dashboard includes a mount to secure the smartphone. Once secured, video can be recorded and synched to the app which will then reveal information such as elevation, engine speed, and degrees of pitch and roll as the vehicle handles the terrain.

The Bronco Trail App is free to use for Bronco owners, and if cellular connection is an issue in remote areas, maps can be downloaded ahead of time.
