Thank goodness Elon Musk finally did something to get a little attention.  Fresh off coming to the rescue of Twitter, becoming their largest stockholder and a member of their board, he came up with another great idea that he felt could solve the out-of-control homeless crisis in San Francisco that clueless politicians have not taken a dent out of.

Since newly empowered employees are flexing their clout and, in many cases, refusing to come to the corporate office to work, Elon tweeted a suggestion that touched a lot of nerves and almost seemed to temporarily unite Twitter trolls and ordinary people who just use the platform for how it was intended.

He phrased it as a question and in the form of a poll.

“Convert Twitter SF HQ to homeless shelter since no one shows up anyway”

 yes or no.

His poll results probably made Gallup executives ask themselves what they have been doing wrong because he received 40,000 likes and over 500,000 votes in the first two hours after the post.

There were thousands of unimaginative, rude, bitter, and flat-out stupid responses and comments, in other words, typical Twitter reactions.

And there were more intelligent comments, too, like “I love this,” which one responder posted.

The Twitter corporate office has over 80,000 square feet and other exciting perks like a standalone wooden lodge that used to exist in Montana.  It was moved into one huge room.

Hashtag-inspired art is all over, including a black and white coffee shop and a big open area for sunbathing.

The only thing missing from this beautiful campus is actual employees.
