We are truly living through historic moments in U.S. history.

Former President Donald Trump is set to be arraigned on Tuesday, where he faces multiple election-related investigations including criminal charges from 2016 hush money payments.

Trump arrived at Trump Tower in Manhattan on Monday, following a swarm of both supporters and anti-supporters waiting for him outside of the building. In what seems to be a continuous witch hunt for the man, Trump will continue to plead not guilty but has agreed to cooperate with the authorities.

“Seems so SURREAL — WOW, they are going to ARREST ME. Can’t believe this is happening in America,” Trump said in a post on his social media platform Truth Social published on Tuesday as he was arriving at the courthouse on 100 Centre St. in lower Manhattan.

One of Trump’s lawyers, Joe Tacopina stated that Trump wouldn’t plead guilty to lesser charges, even if it were to resolve the case.

According to Tacopina on ABC’s Good Morning America, Trump didn’t believe the case would even make it to a jury and stated, “I think there will be typical processing, which does not take long, 20-30 minutes. There won’t be handcuffs, – but, yeah, he’ll be processed the way anyone else would be — to a degree.”

Trump will be fingerprinted but along with no handcuffs, mug shots will not be taken, either. There will also be no cameras or press present during Trump’s court hearing.

According to Trump pollster John McLaughlin, the former president would approach the day with “dignity.”

“He will be a gentleman,” McLaughlin said. “He’ll show strength and he’ll show dignity and … we’ll get through this and win the election.”

If convicted, Trump would still be able to run (and possibly win) the 2024 presidency, though his competitors are obviously desperate for that not to be the case.
