Ex-CNN anchor Don Lemon was all smiles at the Time 100 annual listicle of the 100 most influential people in the world as he walked the red carpet with his husband on Wednesday evening in New York City.
Amidst the glitz and glam of celebrities walking the carpet, quick interviews from reporters are notoriously known to happen and Don Lemon broke his silence since his firing from CNN on Monday morning.
“Listen, I didn’t lose my job, I lost my sister. A job is something that is not as important as a person.” He ended his statement to one reporter with, “Yes, I know what is important in life.”
When responding to Time’s reporter asking, “What is next for you, Don?”
Lemon responded, “I don’t know, sitting on the beach with this gentleman all summer and having a great summer, and I’m going to have the summer of a 12-year-old.”
Time’s reporter then asks, “Speaking of influence, what influence would you say you left at CNN?”
Lemon: “Why don’t you ask my colleagues about that? I think they’ll probably have a good answer for ya.”

Compared to Tucker Carlon’s official break of silence via social media garnering close to 43 million views as of last night, will Don Lemon make a similar statement, or will he keep it all smiles for the red carpet and vague for his loyal fans?
