Every single company that shelled out $7 million for a:30 commercial on the Super Bowl telecast woke up Monday asking themselves the same question; “Was it worth it?”

There is always so much hype leading up to the big game for the spots that try to live up to the billing as the largest TV audience of the year tunes in. 

Sunday’s lineup of ads was fine. Ok.  Pretty good.  There didn’t appear to be a single one making Spuds McKenzie or the Budweiser Clydesdales lose any sleep. 

Picking the “best” Super Bowl commercial is pretty tough. It’s similar to halftime shows; a lot depends on your taste, so there is one way to gauge which one moved the needle the most, and that’s by looking at total views on YouTube. 

One stood alone at the top, according to YouTube, and that was the spot for Amazon that featured Alexa wreaking havoc on the home life of Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost. The premise centered around Alexa being able to read the famous couple’s minds.
