If you can’t fathom a world where singer-songwriter Sara Bareilles will be able to give updates on Twitter about a concert appearance.  Or be able to read tweets from Grey’s Anatomy EP Shonda Rhimes; I have devastating news for you; they both quit Twitter.

They can’t bear to continue now that Elon Musk has taken over the company.

Here’s the announcement from Bareilles that made it official.

“Welp. It’s been fun Twitter. I’m out. See you on other platforms, peeps. Sorry, this one’s just not for me.”

A parade of celebs hightailed it off the blue bird and said goodbye to the millions of fake followers and spambots they had been communicating with.

Ken Olin is a director. He is also a non-fan of Musk.

“Hey all, I’m out of here. No judgement. Let’s keep the faith. Let’s protect our democracy. Let’s try to be kinder. Let’s try to save the planet. Let’s try to be more generous. Let’s look to find peace in the world.”

Rob Reiner told fellow celebs to stay through the mid-term elections.

“For those who are fighting to preserve our Constitutional Democracy, now is not the time to leave Twitter. Now is the time to VOTE BLUE!”

Look for a lot more Musk bashing and hate this week. It could be black Monday at Twitter headquarters because it would be the last day to let go of under-performing employees before huge bonuses and stock grants kick in on November 1.
