Democratic politicians keep on throwing in the towel.

Previously, the Dem mayors of NYC and Chicago asked for migrants not to be shuttled to their cities, despite the fact that both campaigned to make their city a “sanctuary city.”

Politico spoke with almost a dozen Democratic governors, and the rub wasn’t very progressive.

Democrats say the priority is low for delivering healthcare to illegal immigrants that showed up on their doorsteps.

They also have an excuse, considering that Medicaid is tougher to qualify for due to the inflation reduction act. In order to get their votes, Biden agreed to additional work requirements in order to get medicaid coverage.

And Democrat-controlled Minnesota looks like they’ll axe their plan to expand healthcare coverage to all undocumented immigrants, instead using the $39 million allotted to schools, housing and child care.

And Connecticut seriouy scaled down their healthcare access plans for kids of undocumented immigrants. They were planning on contributing $15 million. Now, they’re just doing 3 million.

Liberal lawmakers are not casting blame on the influx of immigrants they’ve been seeing. Instead, they’re sidestepping the issue, saying they just need more time to craft a plan. And interesting avoidance.

““What you have is a group of people who have identified a solution to a part of the problem and, I think because of their passion and their desire to see the health care needs met, they don’t necessarily understand why we want to look at all of the options available to us,” said one Democratic lawmaker in Maryland, which is also scaling back their healthcare allotment.

Subtly, these Democratic bigwigs are slowly acting more conservative. Here’s hoping it’s a consistent trend.
