Influencer Andrew Tate learned Tuesday he would have to complete a 30-day detention in a Romanian jail.

Tate was initially detained along with his brother on December 29th as part of a human trafficking investigation. The 24-hour hold was then extended to thirty days. Tate, his brother, and two women were all arrested in the home raid. Tuesday, a court denied all four appeals. A court document was released explaining the denial of all four appeals. According to the judge, “the possibility of them evading investigations cannot be ignored.” The judge believes Tate and the other defendants could leave Romania if released and settle in countries that do not allow extradition.

The arrests of Tate and his brother and two others come after accusations that the brothers recruited women on social media platforms and persuaded them to travel to their home by claiming they were in love. Once at the house, the victims say they were forced to perform on webcams sexually. At least six women have come forward with accusations against Tate and his brother.

Andrew Tate has previously responded from jail, saying the arrest and accusations were all apart of an attack from the “Matrix.” Tate now faces charges of organized crime, human trafficking, and rape. It is unclear if Tate will be released after the 30-day hold is up.
