Do people actually enjoy sitting at a desk all day?

Is that something people genuinely enjoy doing? How do they get through the day? How many cups of coffee do they have to drink to not go crazy? Don’t their backs hurt from sitting so much?

If you have ever had such thoughts, you are not alone.

Corporate life is really not for everyone, and truth be told, it’s really not a healthy lifestyle. How can people sit on their bums all day and not go crazy?!

Our bodies were made to MOVE! If you look at society’s health and wonder why we’re all so sick and fat, part of it is because we aren’t working manual labor jobs like our ancestors used to on farms or in factories.

Moving the body is GOOD.

But anyway, it’s 2022, so we have to work something a little bit more… “industrialized” you could say.

9 Careers for People Who Hate Corporate

Many people are ditching their corporate jobs for something a little bit more “humane.”

1. Teacher/Principal

Teachers are constantly on their feet.

They have the privilege of spending their time with children who bring joy and laughter to their lives. Teaching is a very rewarding and enjoyable job for those who love kids and teaching. It’s a very diverse career and each day is never like any other.

Of course, it comes with its perks like having summers off as well as all the holidays. Educators and those in the field of education receive a very nice pension and loads of other benefits.

2. Doctor/Nurse

The pay is incredible, of course, and it’s a very fast-paced and rewarding job.

Doctors and nurses spend their time helping others feel better. The career path is very diverse and allows for the ability to work as much or as little as you’d like.

Can’t stand blood? Well, maybe this isn’t the right path for you.

3. Pilot/Flight Attendant

Not that many people enjoy flying, so this career path is not for many.

There is a shortage of pilots, so you can be sure to find a job, but you better enjoy flying and sitting for many hours straight.

For those who love to travel and visit new places, this might be a great career.

4. Personal Trainer

For those who love to help others get the best bodies of their lives, being a personal trainer might be a great option.

You can work flexible hours, stay active, and help others look and feel their best.

5. Chef

Who doesn’t love food?

For those who love to be in the kitchen and cook for others, it might be time to make your passion a full-time gig. Cooking is an art. It can be very fun and enjoyable for those who can’t stand the idea of working an office job.

Who knows, maybe one day you’ll open your own restaurant!

6. Yoga Instructor

If you’re all about that zen, teaching yoga could be an excellent career path.

Not everyone can be a master at yoga, but everyone loves to take yoga and it’s becoming more and more popular which means more instructors are needed. It’s a great career for those who want to make spirituality a full-time passion.

For the entrepreneurial-hearted, you can open your own yoga studio, teach at various locations, travel and teach private sessions in different countries, or host yoga parties for kids, couples, and large groups!

7. Fisherman

The world needs fishermen. It’s certainly not for everyone, but some people appreciate the art of fishing and can make a living out of something they enjoy.

8. Nanny

For those who love kids, being a nanny could be a great job. You get to spend time with children and take care of them as you watch them grow. If you love to cook, clean, and do laundry, you might as well get paid for it.

Being a nanny also has its perks. If you become a live-in nanny, you won’t have to pay rent, which is ridiculously expensive nowadays anyway. You’ll also get free food, free vacations, and lots of other perks that come with growing up with a family who will ideally love and respect you as much as you do for them.

9. Server

You really can’t go wrong with this one. It’s not always ideal, but the pay is pretty decent and the hours are flexible. Waitressing comes in handy when you need to earn some extra cash or want a flexible lifestyle. You can pick up and go whenever you want and work as much or as little as you’d like.

You’re always on your feet, interacting with new people, and socializing.
