Imagine this – your children are big fans of Sam Smith’s music and want to attend his ‘Gloria’ tour show, coming to a city near you. So, you go ahead and make their dreams come true – you buy a couple of tickets.

You attend the event and right from the start, you notice the theme to be a bit dark – and it progresses. That’s exactly what’s happened now that Smith sparked a heated conversation online for his controversial performances since kicking off his ‘Gloria’ Tour this past week.

Sam – who identifies as they/them – dressed in a series of eye-catching looks, wearing red devil horns, nipple tassels, fishnets, wired crowns and more. Smith’s tour also includes religious imagery.

As clips from Sam’s show circulated online, many critics of the singer have slammed the star, accusing him of seeking attention via ‘sexualized’ performances.

Tweet shared by @TateTheTalisman: “I will pray for Sam Smith in hopes that he changes his image and his message. Pop stars have the ability to influence the youth like few others on the planet. The glamorisation of Satan has to go. I really wish the music industry would do better.”

Tweet shared by @xavierjp_ : “That Sam Smith video is disgusting. It’s even worse knowing Parents allowed their children to attend We have schools indoctrinating kids with LGTV filth via mandatory LGTV education AND their entertainment sources (Social Media, Games, Music) are poisoned with the same filth.

What are your thoughts? Would you take your children to see Sam Smith on tour?
