10 Great Careers for Women Who Want a Family

It costs an average of $272,049 to raise a child from birth to age 17.

This does not include the cost of a college education.

Raising a child can be rewarding emotionally but very costly financially.

According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the average cost of raising a child to age 18 was $233,610 as of 2015. With an annual adjustment for inflation of 2.2% each year factored in, the lifetime cost of raising a child born in 2022 could be estimated at $272,049.

Knowing this, women (and men) might reconsider the careers they choose to pursue if they plan on having a family. Those who plan on starting a family should pursue stable careers that pay well.

Things aren’t getting any cheaper.

Career V.S. Family

When it comes to choosing a career or a family, women should never feel as though they can’t balance both.

If anything, they should view their careers as the pathway to raising children in a comfortable environment. Raising a family costs a ton of money. Those who want to take their families on vacations, raise their children on healthy, organic meals, and have the ability to live in a nice, clean home in a safe environment will need a great job to do so.

If women plan accordingly, they can raise their kids in a beautiful, safe, and comfortable environment.

Obviously, women can do whatever they put their minds to and they should pursue what makes them happy.

For those who want to raise their kids comfortably, it’s important to have a career that pays well and one that would allow them to fall back on in case they need to go back to work in the future (if they plan on stopping).

Choose a major that pays.

Certain careers don’t pay well. Corporate jobs don’t pay that well until you reach the top, which takes YEARS. Don’t depend on a corporation for your income. It’s corporate slavery.

One bold decision and they could fire your ass.

AVOID CORPORATE AT ALL COSTS.

Starting a business is always ideal, but requires lots of money and commitment. It’s definitely possible to have a family and a business as a woman, but you will need lots of support to run that business once doors are opened.

Plan accordingly.
