A recent survey by the New York Federal Reserve indicates a growing dissatisfaction among US workers regarding their employment compensation. Satisfaction with wages has declined from 59.9% to 56.7% since July 2023, while satisfaction with benefits dropped from 64.9% to 56.3%.

The survey reveals that 4.4% of respondents expect to lose their jobs, the highest level since 2014, and 28.4% reported actively searching for new employment, marking a historic high. Notably, dissatisfaction is particularly pronounced among women, those without college degrees, and individuals earning less than $60,000 annually.
Despite a rising reservation wage of $81,147, expected salary offers have decreased to $65,272. Overall, these findings suggest significant concerns regarding job security and compensation in the current labor market.
