The favorability of former President Donald Trump remains stable among Americans, while President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris’ ratings significantly dropped.

According to a survey conducted by the Pew Research Center, roughly 8,480 randomly selected adults participated in the online survey between July 10-July 16.

66 percent of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents have a highly favorable opinion of Trump, while 32 percent have a very or mostly unfavorable view of him.

The share of Republicans who view Trump favorably has shown a decline of nine percentage points compared to last July when 75 percent were recorded to have viewed him favorably and 24 percent viewed him unfavorably.

Unsurprisingly, nine out of 10 Democrats (91 percent) or Democratic-leaning voters continue to express negative opinions on Trump, including 78 percent having a very unfavorable view. 8 percent have a favorable opinion.

Meanwhile, President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris receive low marks of favorability on nearly every political party affiliation.

Six out of ten Americans hold a very or mostly unfavorable opinion of Biden, while 39 percent view him favorably. Biden is viewed more negatively than he was a year ago when 55 percent held an unfavorable opinion of him.

Vice President Kamala Harris is facing a decline in her favorability ratings among Americans. Around 59 percent of the respondents now view her unfavorably, while only 36 percent express a favorable opinion. This is a significant shift from last July when 43 percent rated her favorably, and 52 percent held an unfavorable opinion.

Similarly, both Biden and Harris experienced a decrease in favorability ratings among Democrats. Currently, 70 percent of Democrats view Biden favorably – down 5 points from July 2022. Likewise, about 66 percent of Democrats have a positive opinion of Harris, marking a 9-point decline during the same period.
