The transformation of Jeff Bezos from the king of the nerds to the buffed and smooth-operating, mega-rich international man of mystery is almost complete. Word is he is now engaged to his glamorous girlfriend Lauren Sanchez, and the whole world wants to know one thing, and one thing only; is there a prenup?
Page Six broke the story, kind of, with a report Monday citing an unnamed source “close to the couple” that Bezos popped the question. Photos on their new super yacht show Lauren rocking a large stone on her ring finger, so you can do the math if you want.

Media outlets are contacting Team Bezos to see if they can confirm any details, including if a prenup exists, but no official word yet. Back in 2019, when Bezos and his first wife, MacKenzie Scott, got their divorce, it was reported that he did not have a prenup in place and that the divorce settlement cost Bezos nearly $38 billion in Amazon stock, which his ex is using to enrich small non-profits and charities around the world. The payment made Scott one of the wealthiest people in the world. That’s how valuable 19.7 million Amazon stock shares were worth, roughly 4% of the entire company.
According to Amazon’s most recent proxy statement filed, Bezos still owns 12.3% of the company’s common stock. His net worth, according to Forbes, is about $137.87 billion. Bezos is sitting No. 3 on the wealthiest people in the world list, behind Elon Musk and Bernard Arnault.
By the way, Bezos is getting richer by the day — Amazon’s stock price is up over 30% since January.
