For the 1a, or primary, definition, female means “of, relating to, or being the sex that typically has the capacity to bear young or produce eggs.”
Most recently, there has been an uproar from parents across the nation over the implementation of sexual studies and gender exploration subjects being taught to minors in schools.
In fact, New York City gave over $200,000 in taxpayer dollars to a nonprofit organization called Drag Story Hour NYC to fund programs involving drag queens who came into the classroom to perform various activities such as reading, coloring, and discussing the importance of self-acceptance.
The drag queens also instructed children on how to apply heavy makeup, wigs, and sparkly dresses.
Parents who have children at schools that hosted such events say that it happened without parental consent.
New York’s Department of Education claims that these programs were to promote inclusivity and prevent violent acts against the transgender community.
Many parents nationwide feel that these “programs” being pushed upon their children in the name of “protecting the LGBTQ community” are overstepping the purpose of education and pushing ideologies that do not resonate with their values.

The percentage of Gen Z adults who identify as LGBTQ has increased from 10.5% in 2017 to 20.8% in 2021.
