The future looks bright at Valuetainment!
Me being the content creator of Valuetainment and the PBD Podcast, and you being a fan/follower or somebody that consumes some of the content, I want to manage your expectations, moving forward.
I’ll get messages where people will say, “I miss your old content from seven years ago where it was only business,” or “I miss the fact that I used to say this.” And some people will say, “I like the way you interviewed him but not her.”
For those of you who love my content, please be patient. Sometimes, there will be someone I interview that you don’t like and there will sometimes be things you’re not going to fully agree with. I’m ok with that. For those of you who watch this and can’t stand my content or what I stand for, be patient. I’m going to interview someone someday, or say something where you’re going to say, “I kind of like that guy.” It’s going to happen. My goal and outcome of what I do with this content is to inspire you to be thinking as well.
I created my own definition of leadership, and I created a score where in life, we all want to please everybody in our life. We all have a score.
- If you’re score is 100 – you are not a leader
- If you’re score is 0 – you’re an asshole
- My score goal is to be at 50
I don’t lose sleep over some people I don’t please. My goal is to not please EVERYBODY.
Here’s what direction we are going toward. As a parent, as I age, topics like politics, taxes, minimum wage, etc. matter to me. As I see these issues present in my life, I look at policies in a different way and I say to myself, “If I am investing into this company called United States of America and I’m putting all this money into it, I want to see some results, I want to see some accountability. If I am contributing to society, I want to make sure I am seeing what’s happening, how my kids are being treated and what values, principles, movies and shows are being injected into my children. Are they encouraged to think bigger? Is it to dream bigger?
My idea on how I learn is through debate – so I will bring people from both sides. I enjoy conversations with these men and women. I am trying to learn. I am doing something that others are not. Others want to just talk to people that agree with them. I want to talk to people that I agree with to disagree as well as people that I disagree with to see if we have an area of agreement and see if we can come to an understanding.
So if this angers you, I want to manage expectations, but you’re going to get upset. Go watch other content, not ours.
