The allegations against Joe and Hunter Biden continue to live in the news cycle of at least some media outlets, and news organizations finally appear to be recognizing the mountain of allegations as something Joe Biden needs to address.
The Wall Street Journal editorial board is the latest to call on Joe Biden to deal with the allegations made by Tony Bobulinski, Hunter Biden’s former business partner. “Joe Biden is asking voters to elect him on the strength of his character, honesty and judgment – which is why Mr. Biden owes a response to new allegations about his son Hunter’s business deals,” the board wrote following Bobulinski’s interview on Fox News’ “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
The Democrats have found themselves in the precarious position of now having to defend Biden for the very things they spent four years accusing Trump of doing. The editorial board at the Wall Street Journal pointed out the hypocrisy by the Biden camp and the media in their messaging and said it’s time to supply some answers.
“The Bobulinski material suggests the Chinese engaged Hunter not for his financial prowess, but for his connections and influence,” the board concluded.
“Nearly all of the press is ignoring this story, and Mr. Biden’s strategy is to ignore it as well and run out the election clock. But Mr. Bobulinski’s evidence is too detailed and credible to go away. Much of the campaign against Donald Trump as a threat to U.S. security has concerned his personal business interests, especially with foreigners.
“Mr. Biden should want to contrast himself by explaining his role in assisting Hunter’s business, and his rationale for doing so.”
It’s also important to point out that the information supplied by Tony Bobulinski is completely separate from the information contained on what was allegedly Hunter Biden’s laptop. Two different sources of information that both seem like matters the former vice president would want to clear up if they are in fact just “malarky,” as he has claimed.
