It is well known that if rapper Ice Cube has a problem with something, he will do anything but hold his tongue. When it comes to cancel culture, Ice Cube believes people are afraid to speak out on the cancer that is infecting our society.

During an interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored, the NWA rapper mentioned: “People are very polarized in all kind of ways. People are afraid to speak out because of the cancel culture that we have today. So, I just think people are afraid, and they’re running to their corners.”

The former NWA star continues, “It does [behave like a cancer], because it makes not only the person that’s getting canceled, they’re trying to shut them up, but anybody’s watching nowadays shut up, because they say if it can happen to this guy, it can happen to me.

He adds that by bashing someone’s name and canceling them simply because you don’t agree with what they have to say, reckless behavior can spread with no shot at holding anyone accountable.

Ice Cube is not the only star who is getting equally frustrated with this new method of exile and isolation. Barstool founder Dave Portnoy went on Twitter to share his disappointment and disagreement on Ben Mintz, former host of the “Wake Up Mintzy” show, having been immediately fired after accidentally using the “N-word” while rapping lyrics of the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony snog “1st of the month.”

Cancel culture also fails to help businesses and corporations – shortly after firing Mintz, Penn Entertainment stock fell more than 8 percent.

Reporter David Hookstead said it best in a tweet:America is racing towards becoming a country where mercy and compassion no longer exist. People are losing their jobs and livelihoods over honest mistakes. This insanity must end before it’s too late to save the USA. We need more grace, less outrage.”
