After the revolt in Sri Lanka, many people around the world had thoughts to share…
Both the President and Prime Minister announced their resignations shortly after the insurrection, proving who really has the power in our world.
How many people even know Sri Lanka just ended a 30-year civil war

What I learned from Tahrir Square in 2011: if the media doesn’t use the word “revolution” during the reporting of a revolution, people will talk relentlessly about “protestors” and “demonstrations” while watching an actual televised revolution.

Protesters enjoying Sri Lanka’s absconding President’s swimming pool! No dictator should remain in illusion that the power is for ever, and when the end comes, it is always violent and nasty. pic.twitter.com/T3ePbkA0gM

They are finally figuring out who the real target of their anger should be.
Protesters broke through the front gate of Sri Lanka’s Central Bank.

Please remain nonviolent while we starve you to death.
Thank you.

Note to Dems: what’s going on in Sri Lanka is an actual “insurrection.”

Main factors that led to #SriLanka collapse:
1. Putting Dynasty over nation
2. Corruption
3. Love for China and its money
4. State-controlled economy and socialistic freebiesReminds you of a party back home?

A food, energy, and financial crisis has brought down Sri Lanka’s government. But the underlying cause is the fact that the nation’s political leaders had fallen under the spell of green elites peddling “ESG” and banning modern fertilizers.https://t.co/En6rbDrsYu

What Caused the Revolution in Sri Lanka?
The pandemic and global inflation played a role in Sri Lanka’s crisis, but economists have been saying that Sri Lanka has been in financial trouble for a long time now due to its debt crisis and high inflation.
Sounds like a situation many countries are facing right now…
Sri Lanka defaulted on its debts for the first time in May and declared bankruptcy last week.
After the nation declared bankruptcy, tensions between the people and its government worsened.
Hundreds of thousands descended on the capital Colombo, calling for Mr. Rajapaksa to resign after months of protests over economic mismanagement.
The Prime Minister of England, Boris Johnson, Recently Resigned As Well…
The Prime Minister is facing sexual allegations along with failed administrative policies which have led to his resignation.
“In the past few weeks, I have been trying to convince my colleagues it would be eccentric to change governments when we have achieved so much,” he said in his speech outside No. 10 Downing St. amid loud booing from the crowd nearby. “I regret not to be successful in those arguments and, of course, it’s painful not to be able to see through those projects myself,” said the disgraced Prime Minister.
Johnson promised the United Kingdom that supports for Ukraine would continue under his successor….
Johnson will remain in power until October.
President Zelensky of Ukraine Recently Fired Multiple Ambassadors
Following the revolt in Sri Lanka, President Zelensky has fired mutiple ambassadors to the Ukraine, including Germany, India, the Czech Republic, Norway and Hungary.
Is this a coincidence?…
“This rotation is a normal part of diplomatic practice,” said the President.
It is not clear if the diplomats will be assigned new positions.
Prime Minister Wickremesinghe announced on Twitter that he was stepping down “to ensure the continuation of the government including the safety of all citizens” but didn’t name a date…
President Rajapaksa will officially step down on July 13.
