When you think of burlesque shows and strip joints, it seems fair to agree that these events fall under adult entertainment. So, why is it “transphobic” or “bigoted” to place drag shows and fetish practices in the same category?

Since when is it acceptable for men to be dancing around half-naked in public, and in front of young children? Apparently, anything goes during New York City’s ‘Pride Month’ celebrations in June.

This past weekend, NYC closed the main streets from Tompkins Square Park to the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village on Friday to host an ‘NYC Drag March,’ commemorating the LGBTQIA+ community.

During the march, celebrators took to the streets, making their existence known while shouting: “We’re here. We’re queer. We’re coming for your children.” Outrage sparked on social media, showing major concern with this chant and the current controversial battle going on with the grooming and over-sexualization of children.

One tweet from a user stating that “they aren’t even hiding it anymore” with another user mentioning:

The right: “The LGBTQ mob is coming for your children.”

The left: “You are making it all up. That’s a conspiracy theory.”

LGBTQ parade: “We’re here, we’re queer, we’re coming for your children.”

In another video from the event, show participants are seen holding signs that read “Groom Cissies” and “Drag isn’t for Cissies.”

Members of the LGBTQ anti-Christian group Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were also seen at the event amid the backlash they recently received from Catholic and Christian L.A. Dodger fans earlier this month.

In efforts to protect children from irreversible hormone therapies and body-mutilating surgeries, dubbed “gender-affirming care,” the Protect Children’s Innocence Act is a bill being proposed that would make it a felony to perform any so-called “gender-affirming care” on a minor.
