In an interview with Bloomberg, Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg praised former President Donald Trump for his resilience in the face of the recent assassination attempt against him, calling his iconic fist pump immediately after the shooting “one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life.” However, the influential billionaire stopped short of giving Trump his endorsement in the 2024 election, instead telling the outlet that he is planning on taking a step back from politics by refraining from endearing either candidate.

“Seeing Donald Trump get up after getting shot in the face and pump his fist in the air with the American flag is one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life,” Zuckerberg said. “On some level as an American, it’s like hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight, and I think that that’s why a lot of people like the guy.”
