One lucky ticket holder in Florida has just won Tuesday night’s estimated $1.58 billion Mega Millions jackpot – estimated to be the largest in the lottery’s history.

According to the lottery’s website, the estimated jackpot totals $1.58 billion with a pretty sweet cash-out option of $783.3. million before taxes. The winning numbers were 13, 19, 20, 32, and 33 with a gold Mega Ball of 14.

A single jackpot-winning ticket was sold at a Publix store in Neptune Beach, roughly 20 miles east of Jacksonville, according to game officials.

If estimations are correct, the jackpot would be the largest in the game’s almost 27-year history. The second largest jackpot was won in October 2018.

If one plays Mega Millions, they understand when no one wins the Powerball lottery game, jackpots roll over, and the last time someone won this jackpot was April 18. Although the $1.58 billion jackpot is the largest tag ever for Mega Millions, it appears to be close to the third-largest lottery jackpot in U.S. history.

The Powerball lotto has reached a top jackpot of $2.04 billion and $1.58 billion. One ticket holder in California won, and the other won in 2016 in a three-ticker division in three states, respectively.

“Congratulations to the BIG $1.58 Billion #MegaMillions jackpot winner in Florida. California is still celebrating because a lucky ticket sold at Super Mac Food & Gas in Hilmar matched five numbers missing just the Mega number earning $3,383,371,” the California lottery said in post on X, (formerly known as Twitter).

The odds of winning Mega Millions jackpot is 1 in roughly 302,575,350.
