Virginia Giuffre, the most outspoken of sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein’s victims, announced on Sunday that she is in critical condition, with mere days to live, following a devastating car accident. The 41-year-old mother of three claims that she is suffering kidney failure from the crash, which involved a school bus striking her vehicle at high speed.
In an emotional Instagram post, Giuffre shared a photo from her hospital bed showing extensive bruising, reflecting on her condition as she fights for life.
“This year has been the worst start to a new year,” she wrote on Instagram. “I won’t bore anyone with the details but I think it important to note that when a school bus driver comes at you driving 110km as we were slowing for a turn that no matter what your car is made of it might as well be a tin can.”

“I’ve gone into kidney renal failure, they’ve given me four days to live, transferring me to a specialist hospital in urology,” she wrote. “I’m ready to go, just not until I see my babies one last time, but you know what they say about wishes. S**T in one hand and wish in the other & I guarantee it’s still going to be s**t at the end of the day.”
Her father, Sky Roberts, publicly offered words of love and support, hoping for her recovery despite the grim prognosis. A representative for Giuffre confirmed she is receiving ongoing medical care, though some remain skeptical of the timeline she has been given for her condition.

The details surrounding the accident remain unclear, but the news has quickly drawn widespread attention due to Giuffre’s prominence in the Epstein case. Giuffre claims that Epstein coerced her into having sex with Prince Andrew at least three times when she was 17 years old. Though the prince maintained his innocence, he was stripped of his royal titles and patronages.
Giuffre’s 2022 civil lawsuit against Prince Andrew ended in an out-of-court financial settlement in 2022, though the amount payed has never been disclosed.
As Giuffre fights for her life, the incident has reignited focus on the woman whose voice played a key role in bringing global awareness to Epstein’s alleged network of abuse.
