Academy Award-winning actor Jamie Foxx remains in the hospital following an undisclosed “medical complication,” roughly 3 weeks ago. His loved ones are requesting prayers from his fans for the 55-year-old socialite.
Although the specificities of Foxx’s condition remain unclear, sources near the actor shared that he could use all of the support he can get.
Foxx has been admitted to a medical facility in Georgia, and physicians are conducting evaluations to determine the nature of his ailment.
Foxx was photographed on the set of his new film, “Back in Action,” featuring Cameron Diaz, just one day before he was rushed to the hospital. While he remained in the hospital, production continued scenes using his body double.
According to a source speaking with People, signs of being “ok” were mentioned, however, Foxx remained hospitalized. Foxx’s daughter Corinne announced via Instagram that her father was under emergency medical care.
“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday,” the statement from the family said. “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery.” She continued, “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”
Many celebrity friends took to their social media platforms to share their well wishes and prayers including Kerry Washington, LeBron James, Martin Lawrence, and Nick Cannon.
Prayers for healing are sent to the actor in hopes for a speedy recovery.
