The top political leader of Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, saw his three sons and three of his grandchildren killed in an Israeli airstrike on Wednesday. Haniyeh described the attack as being in “the spirit of revenge and murder” and told Al Jazeera that his sons “were martyred on the road to liberating Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
