A new poll from Bloomberg News/Morning Consult has found that GOP candidate Donald Trump is leading President Joe Biden in all swing states, and that six in ten swing-state voters hold Biden responsible for the border crisis.

Republican messaging appears to be working wonders in the electoral polls as Biden slides down in favorability amid the unprecedented surge of illegal migration crossings at the US southern border that has occurred since he took office.

In a one-on-one contest, Biden trails Trump 42 percent to 48 percent across each of the seven swing states in the new monthly survey. And if one includes the third-party candidates, Trump gains three percentage points.

But Trump has rebuffed it as a charade that grants the president no new tangible powers, and claims that if Biden wanted to solve the crisis he could do it now.
