Donald Trump Jr. half-jokingly said on a livestream that he would love for Infowars host Alex Jones to be his father’s Press Secretary should he be re-elected in 2024.

“Alex Jones. That’d be a—” he laughed. “Again, there’s a couple people that I’d like to put in for a month. Two weeks to a month.”

“I’m not joking, I’m being serious,” he went on. “I’m not saying permanently, but for a week.”

Don Jr. joked that Laura Loomer would also be a good fit for the role.

“Just for a month, just to put these idiots in their place,” he said, referring to the media. “Again, not saying [Jones] has gotten everything right, but man, he’s got a lot more right over the last decade or so than anyone in our mainstream media. And I can say that with facts. And I’ll get criticized for it, but that’s the reality.”

The former president’s son predicted “clickbait fake news rags” like Raw Story and Media Matters would pick up the soundbite and harshly criticizing him for saying it. “But look at all the clowns that pushed ‘Russia Russia Russia’ for years.” He made fun of the establishment for awarding the Pulitzer Prize to journalists that covered the Russia collusion story, which Jr. called “bullshit.”

Then Jr. read out another comment which suggested he should run for president with Jones in 2028. “It would be fun!” Jr. said.

Alex Jones replied to the clip on X. “Sounds like a lot of fun!” he wrote. “I officially accept the offer to be Trumps new press secretary! Looking forward fighting fake news from the White House!
