Dr. Kerryn Phelps, a formerly staunch advocate for the Covid-19 jab, suffered “devastating” injuries after receiving two Pfizer shots, claiming medical authority cautioned staff not to speak out as that would undermine the vaccine campaign.

The top doctor and former president of the Australian Medical Association stated in a submission to a Senate inquiry that regulators of the medical profession censored any remarks made by personnel which raised questions over the safety of Covid vaccines, according to The Daily Mail.

Dr. Phelps claimed that several of her colleagues who witnessed side effects believed they would be labeled “anti-vaxxers” if they spoke out. “Quite a number of doctors I’ve spoken to have felt impeded about speaking out about their concerns about vaccine adverse events because of the statement made by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) that doctors shouldn’t say anything that was going to impede the government’s vaccine rollout, and they took that to mean not to publicly raise their concerns,” she told Australia’s Today Show.

After Dr. Phelps did “a lot of homework” about the Covid shots, she decided that receiving the jab was the best thing to do after weighing the risks and benefits. She detailed her severe side effects which came after the second dose of the Pfizer shot: ‘I developed a reaction where my blood pressure, my pulse rate and my temperature was going up and down all over the place, and with some quite distressing symptoms and for many months,’ she explained to the hosts.

Ultimately, Dr. Phelps was diagnosed with dysautonomia which relates to nervous system problems. She said she reported the incident to the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), which oversees vaccine safety, but they failed to follow up.

After speaking with several healthcare professionals and patients who also “experienced a serious and persistent adverse event,” Dr. Phelps admitted that “vaccine injury is a subject that few in the medical profession have wanted to talk about.”
