This story seemed to fly under the news media radar because while everyone was eyeing the missing Titanic tourist submarine that went missing upon its exploratory voyage, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office arrested eight men, including one Disney employee caught at the center of a child pornography sting.
The Disney photographer and retail employee shares 1,280 felony charges with the seven other men after being arrested during the PCSO Computer Crime Unit’s “Operation May’s Monsters,” sting, which “focused on identifying those who possessed and distributed child pornography.”

Detectives reported thousands of photos and videos depicting babies, toddlers and children being sexually battered, forced to engage in sexual acts, or displayed in sexually explicit poses.
Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd began investigating Stefan Young, a self-employed boudoir photographer, after he was tipped off by someone who reported an advertisement from the man saying he would take photos of children.
According to investigators, Paul Viel, 40, worked at the Cosmic Rays Restaurant at Disney World.
“He was a sadomasochist. There were photos where they tied up babies in prep for sexual battery. There was one, a weeks old child where the child’s hands are tied behind her back?! Can you believe that?” Sheriff Judd described.
According to Judd, Viel expressed that he had had physical, sexual contact with girls who were eight and nine years old to undercover agents. He has since been arrested and charged with three counts of possessions of child pornography.
Detectives and police officials have been actively searching for the victims. “We want to find these victims,” Judd said explaining the department’s ongoing search for any victims. “Help us out. This is a bad man, and we want him to go to prison for a long time.”
Judd added that many of them were married with at least one child, though none of their kids were found amongst the 1,276 images seized during the operation.
“These videos and photographs are some of the most horrific my detectives have ever seen – images of children being forced to expose their genitalia and raped,” said Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd. “Each time one of these monsters upload and share child pornography, they are feeding a child exploitation pipeline and they are victimizing children over and over again. Parents, this is another stark reminder of why it is important to get all in your child’s business when it comes to their gaming stations, cell phones, and other electronic devices.”
More charges are expected to be added as the investigation continues.
