“Democrat Party Under Control of Elitist Cabal,” says Ex-Democrat Tulsi Gabbard

Tulsi Gabbard, former congresswoman for Hawaii and Democratic presidential candidate in 2020 announced on Tuesday that she is leaving the Democratic Party.

Gabbard said she could no longer be a Democrat as the party was under the “complete control of an elitist cabal.”

The former Congresswoman announced she is leaving the Democratic Party which is “dragging us ever-closer to nuclear war.”

The Iraq war veteran said her love of freedom conflicted with the values of the Democratic Party which contributed to her decision to leave the party. She has not announced whether she will be joining another party.

Gabbard made the announcement during the first episode of her podcast, “The Tulsi Gabbard Show”

On Tucker Carlson Tonight on Tuesday, Gabbard said she could no longer be a member of a party that seeks to destroy and silence its opponents and undermine freedom.

“I’ve always been an independent-minded person,” Gabbard told Tucker Carlson.

“A Democrat, yes, but an independent Democrat. And my loyalties are very clear: I love our country. And I took an oath both as a service member, as a soldier, as well as a member of Congress, to support and defend the Constitution. And that’s an oath that I take extremely seriously.”

“And so when you look at this party, today’s Democratic Party, it’s controlled by fanatical ideologues who hate freedom. They despise the Constitution.” They actively find ways to undermine our God-given rights enshrined in the Constitution, like freedom of speech, if you say something and I say something that they don’t like.”

Gabbard called on other Democrats to join her in leaving the party

Gabbard said she believed in a government “of the people, by the people, and for the people.

“Unfortunately, the Democratic Party stands for a government that is of, by, and for the powerful elite,” she said, calling on her fellow “independent-minded” Democrats to join her in leaving the party.

“Now, I’m calling on my fellow… independent-minded Democrats to join me in leaving the Democratic Party. If you can no longer stomach the direction that so-called woke Democratic Party ideologues are taking our country, I invite you to join me,” Gabbard said.
