CNN news anchors claimed that McDonald’s will contribute to saving the world from climate change thanks to their new regenerative farming practices.
In what seemed to be a promotional video segment advocating climate change, both anchors began their segment with a claim that “cows and livestock are major contributors to carbon emissions.” They added that farmers, however, are changing their minds, claiming that cows, “could in fact be part of the solution.”

The anchors proceed to signal some signs of hope for climate, “if farmers change the way their cows graze, it could make a drastic difference.”
Regenerative farming has been a practice for centuries, long before McDonald’s began to change the way they manufacture their food.
The practice involves the use of grazing animals to naturally fertilize the soil on a rotational basis. It focuses on topsoil regeneration, increasing biodiversity, improving the water cycle, enhancing ecosystem services and, according to Wikipedia, increasing the resilience to climate change.
It doesn’t take a scientist to understand that letting nature take its course – as it has for thousands of years – contributes to a positive impact on the environment, not a threat to the earth’s climate.
Climate change activists seem to be going back and forth on what they claim to be causing destruction of our earth’s atmosphere and sustainability. Some ideologies even include the slaughter of livestock needed to save the planet, so how does this claim save the planet if cows are now part of the solution?
CNN expressed unwavering admiration for McDonald’s latest innovations. It is worth noting that McDonald’s also proudly stated its use of Bill Gates’ Franken-potatoes for their French fries, according to NBC News. These potatoes are said to not be sourced from regenerative farming or environmentally beneficial practices.
