Boeing has proposed a substantial wage increase of 30% over four years to its more than 33,000 striking machinists in a bid to resolve a 10-day strike that has impacted operations in the Seattle area. The company also included a doubled ratification bonus of $6,000 and reinstated annual bonuses in what it deems its ‘best and final’ offer.

Workers are required to ratify the proposal by midnight on Friday. Boeing’s chief negotiator expressed hope that this revised offer would meet the union’s concerns and expedite a resolution.

The strike, led by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 751, commenced on September 13 and has raised concerns about potential damage to Boeing’s operations. The union has yet to publicly comment on the new offer.
