CEO Satya Nadella said Microsoft is planning to halt raises and cut bonuses and stock-awards. Very few will get “exceptional compensation.” Does this sound like Jack Welch to anyone else? The legendary CEO of GE mandated that the lowest 20% be fired and the stars be rewarded – EVERY YEAR. My, my, my – I guess a looming recession crushes entitlements and brings out the capitalist in all of us.
