The Belarus Ministry of Defence posted photos to Telegram on Sunday showing tanks they claim are headed to the country’s border with Ukraine.
“The units of one of the mechanized formations have been put in readiness to perform tasks for their intended purpose,” said a statement from the Belarusian Defense Ministry. “The servicemen carry out the loading of military equipment onto railway transport and begin marching in a combined way to the designated areas.”
Belarus is considered to have strong ties with Russia, and this new development comes after Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko’s accusation that Ukrainian forces had violated their airspace.
