Tesla has over 40,000 Super Chargers in 4,470 locations around the world and now allows non-Tesla vehicles to be charged.
Tesla is quickly becoming an EV “gas station” company in addition to being an EV manufacturer.
When Tesla sold its first car it had a problem… The car could be charged at home but on a long trip, how do the owners recharge? To solve this, Tesla introduced its Supercharger network on September 24, 2012, with six Supercharger stations. The Supercharger was a faster way to charge, enabling owners to get approximately 70% charged, which is 200 miles, in about 20 minutes, which was enough time to grab a burger and continue their trip.
