Ozzy Osbourne has had a wild life, with a lot of drug use, a lot of drinking, oh, and a lot of rabies shots after he bit the head off a bat.
But nothing from his past life has made him fear for his life more than living in Los Angeles these days. In fact, he’s hightailing it out of the U.S. and heading back to England and his 350-acre estate in February.
The reason? The utter and complete lack of order and safety in LA, and a District Attorney in Los Angeles who has caused more damage to the city in less than two years than any one individual has in the history of the city. DA George Gascon.
It’s not just LA where Ozzie doesn’t feel safe either. The whole country has gone to pot, according to the rock icon.
“I’m fed up with people getting killed every day. God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings.”
It doesn’t appear he’s bluffing about the move. He sold his home in Hancock Park for $18 million and has that massive estate waiting for him.
As for whether he will ever return to the United States, it would depend on his health. He’s battling a number of issues, including Parkinson’s disease.
His wife Sharon put the situation into perspective with this quote to The Guardian.
“America has changed so drastically. It isn’t the United States of America at all. Nothing’s united about it. It’s a very weird place to live right now.”
Hard to argue with that.
