His son, Chip Carter, confirmed that the ballot was dropped off at the courthouse, noting that his father had longed to vote for Harris despite being in hospice care since February 2023.
This event coincided with a record-setting early voting period in Georgia, where nearly 329,000 ballots were cast on the first day.
