Up from 2022’s $15 million purse and $2.7 million prize for the top player, this year’s Masters record-breaking payout goes to Jon Rahm at $3.24 million from the $18 million purse.

Brooks Koepka came out strong, starting the day four shots ahead of Rahm. The rain-delayed third round ended with Koepka leading Rahm by two with 18 holes left to play. Opposing all challenges in the homestretch, Rahm gained the lead on the front nine and managed to hold on to his position.

2023’s impressive $18 million purse is a record high for this event. Only two years ago, the purse was set at $11.5 million, jumping to $15 million in 2022. Scottie Scheffler took home $4.5 million from a $25 million purse at The Players Championship, which remains the biggest purse of the year.

Jon Rahm’s prize money surpasses last year’s Masters champion, Scottie Scheffler, by $540,000. The runners up received about $1.5 million each, followed by several high six-figure payouts.

The 31 professionals who missed the cut still walk away with a payout of $10,000 each.
