Rapper Waka Flocka Flame (real name Juaquin James Malphurs) came out strongly in support of Donald Trump for his bid in the upcoming 2024 presidential election on Monday.

On X, formerly Twitter, Waka posted “TRUMP2024” Monday afternoon, and pinned the post to his profile.

Roughly 19 hours after it was posted, Waka’s tweet had garnered 3 million views, 41.8 thousand likes, and 8 thousand reposts. The post sparked controversy, leading to a mixed reaction as fans replied with positive and negative reactions.

He followed that up by updating his profile picture on X with a photograph of him and the former president smiling for the camera.

This is not the first time the “No Hands“ rapper had praise for Trump. In a viral clip that has repeatedly made the rounds on social media platforms, Waka broke down financial advice on avoiding excessive taxation that Trump gave him. When asked at the time if he voted for Trump, Waka laughed and asked, “Why would I vote?” It would seem he has changed his mind.

Waka Flocka Flame and Donald Trump seem to be great friends.

In April 2021, Waka received a presidential medal as part of a  “Lifetime Achievement” award, signed by President Trump from when he was in office.

The award is a recognition of community service on behalf of the American President. Trump awarded it to him on account of his humanitarian nonprofit charity Daughter of Destiny. A very joyful Waka was presented the award by Apostle Dr. Bridget Outlaw in his hometown of Atlanta, GA, according to TMZ.
