Standard and Poor’s is officially recognized as the key data source for corporations worldwide. They also have the power to downgrade a nation’s credit scores, so their influence has far reach.

They keep scoring companies, as you probably know, based on their environmental, social and governance score (ESG). Their grading rubric specifically follows United Nations guidelines.

You can clearly see whose pulling the strings on all this, and companies feel an ever-increasing pressure to “go woke.”

Hell, they might even get a few of their sins forgiven by the wacky wokers in the process.

For example, tobacco giant Philip Morris on Monday received an excellent ESG rating. Higher than Tesla, as the Washington Free Beacon reports.

Now, if you think of the earthly good these two companies come with, one seems more noble than the other. Tesla promotes a cleaner environment, while cigarettes can kill you.

Tesla got just a 37 out of 100, while Philip Morris got an 84.

Clearly it’s a personal thing. Twitter, after Elon Musk took over, got rid of their Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer.  Meanwhile, Philip Morris put up their own cash to stop Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin from instituting a bill that restricts bathroom use to a person’s obvious and original gender.

Philip Morris crowed about its high rating on their website saying, “Altria [Philip Morris parent company] is proud of its internal and external efforts to promote LGBTQ equality. In 2020 Altria signed on to America Competes, a pledge to oppose discrimination and to support comprehensive nondiscrimination laws that protect all Americans, including LGBTQ people, and supported the passage of the Virginia Values Act, the first comprehensive LGBTQ anti-discrimination legislation to pass in the south.”

What all this means is that the United Nations, through the respected Standard and Poor’s, is using its woke agenda to control corporations. Profit and general impact is no longer important. What’s important is that these companies fall in line and cater to the transgender population, which makes up less than 1% of the nation.

Call it globalism, but this time it’s not about economic control, but thought control. This sets a very bad precedent as two respected institutions hop on the radically progressive bandwagon.
