A revelatory film centered around child sex-trafficking is number one at the box office. Hollywood and mainstream media tried to suppress it to no avail. But others with sizable audiences made sure to highlight the film, giving it the attention it deserves.

“Sound of Freedom” won the July 4 box office gold, which is one of the busiest days for movie attendance, according to Box Office Mojo. At $14,242,000, they beat the newest Indiana Jones installment, which nabbed $11,700,000.

“It is the fastest growing international crime network the world has ever seen,” the trailer says:

The media black out is pretty obvious. Just type in “Sound of Freedom” on Google News. There’s a Fox News article, but the rest of the results are from local papers or right leaning outlets. But if you do the same for “Elemental,” the animated CGI film that snagged the bronze for July 4, plenty of mainstream articles pop up. There’s a clear difference in coverage.

And distribution remains an even bigger problem. Indiana Jones, for example, is playing at 4,600 theaters nationwide. “Sound of Freedom”, on the other hand, is only in 2,600 locations.

Making the victory all the sweeter, starring actor Jim Caviezel, of “Passion of the Christ” fame, said he felt his faith was under attack.

“The purpose God gave me in this business, I wanted to bring his light. There’s got to be some sort of moral redemption. But the math is so wrong now. It just seems evil is winning right now,” he told Fox News.

The film is based on the true story of Tim Ballard. He was a homeland security Special Agent who got 14 major sex traffickers arrested after orchestrating a sting in Colombia.
