The race to become the Republican presidential candidate gets interesting as a recent national poll shows Vivek Ramaswamy and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis tied for second place.
According to the poll released by Kaplan Strategies, Ramaswamy had quite the exponential surge of support recently, coming up to the forefront with top dogs in the race – former President Donald Trump and Gov. DeSantis.
According to the poll, “DeSantis remains a top-tier candidate amongst non-Trump choices,” but now shares the status with Ramaswamy.”

“Ramaswamy outperformed six other hopefuls by more than double, marking a significant surprise in this poll,” Doug Kaplan, founder of Kaplan Strategies, commented.
The poll found DeSantis was favored by 59 percent of respondents, while voters remained uncertain about political newcomer Ramaswamy who received a 27 percent rating of those unsure.
Approximately 800 people were surveyed nationwide between July 17 and 18 via the poll’s website and text messages.
Kaplan predicts that as the primaries approach, “”it’s likely we’ll see the lower-tier candidates drop off, and their voters will either return to Trump or rally behind rising stars like Ramaswamy or DeSantis.”
Ramaswamy’s recent climb to the top of the polls comes after he was widely celebrated at the Family Leadership Summit in Iowa on Friday and received a warm and supportive welcome at the Turning Point Action Conference in West Palm Beach, Florida on Saturday.
Gov. DeSantis did not attend the event in his home state.
During the event in Iowa, Ramaswamy vowed to duty the administrative state, defend the southern border, and stand for the values that made America the country it is today.
While Trump received 85 percent of the vote at the conference in Palm Beach, Ramaswamy beat DeSantis with over 50 percent preferring the young politician as their second pick.
