Giorgia Meloni is set to become Italy’s first female prime minister, according to election results.
This will form Italy’s most right-wing government since World War Two.
Giorgia Meloni is with the Brothers of Italy party which is set to emerge as the largest political camp. It will likely forge a right-wing coalition government with Matteo Salvini’s League and Silvio Berlusconi’s Forza Italia. Meloni has been leading the “Brothers of Italy” party since 2014.
In a video, Meloni declared that Italy’s political right had “handed fascism over to history…”
Meloni is “not a fascist,” but the party symbol sure is!
The Brothers of Italy party is represented by a neo-fascist symbol, a tri-coloured flame. Mussolini’s descendants are allies, including Caio Giulio Cesare Mussolini, the great-grandson of Mussolini, who was a Brothers of Italy candidate at the European Parliament in 2019.
Speaking after the vote, Giorgia Meloni said her party would “govern for everyone” and would not betray people’s trust.
“If we are called to govern this nation, we will do it for everyone, we will do it for all Italians and we will do it with the aim of uniting the people (of this country),” Meloni said at her party’s Rome headquarters.
“Italy chose us,” she said. “We will not betray (the country) as we never have.”
“Italians have sent a clear message in favor of a right-wing government led by Brothers of Italy,” she told reporters in Italy.
“This is the time for being responsible.”

The 45-year-old mother of one will be the country’s first female prime minister.
Her campaign slogan is “God, country, and family.”
Meloni’s campaign ran against the progressive “woke” ideology which seems to have swept our world by storm.
She has even received the nickname “the Italian Trump.” (Whatever that means…)
“Yes to natural families, no to the LGBT lobby! Yes to sexual identity, no to gender ideology!”
“Yes to the culture of life, no to the abyss of death!” said a very passionate Meloni during a speech in June.
Meloni has also promised the Italian people that she plans to limit the role of the European Union (EU) in Italy’s affairs.

“I am Giorgia, I am a woman, I am a mother, I am Italian, I am Christian,” a fired-up Meloni told supporters in central Rome. “No one will take that away from me.”

Meloni has condemned Russia’s “unacceptable large-scale act of war” and stresses Rome’s ties with the European Union and NATO.
“We will be guarantors, without ambiguity, of Italy’s positioning and of our uttermost support to the heroic battle of the Ukrainian people,” Meloni said at her party’s headquarters last month.
