Pro-Palestine protests drew in ten of thousands of people across the globe this past weekend, from London to Paris to Dallas, as Israel dialed up its ground invasion of the Gaza Strip.

One of the largest protests occurred in London, where a crowd crossed the Westminster Bridge and demanded Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to call for a ceasefire. The British government has rejected a ceasefire call but has advocated a pause of the invasion to allow for aid and safe evacuations.

Protests also formed in Istanbul, Baghdad, Rome, Paris, Valencia (Spain), Sao Paulo, Sydney, Montreal, New York, and Los Angeles. Police shut down the Brooklyn Bridge on Saturday when a large crowd of Pro-Palestine demonstrators marched toward it. The protest organizers, who called the event “Flood Brooklyn for Gaza,” began at Brooklyn Museum at 3:00 PM, marched past the Barclays Center at 4:00 PM, and ended at the Bridge.
