When you think of U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, do you imagine a man who lives by the very socialistic principles he abides by, or is he a “rules for thee, not for me” kind of guy?
We can all agree that you can’t quite put your finger on the Brooklyn-raised senator’s logic in political policy — at least for the everyday American.
In a recent tweet, Sanders suggested moving the working class from a 40-hour work week to a 32-hour work week with no loss in pay. He said, “We can reduce the stress level in our country and allow Americans to enjoy a better quality of life.”
It’s time for us to move to a 32-hour work week with no loss in pay. We can reduce the stress level in our country and allow Americans to enjoy a better quality of life.

Bossman Patrick Bet-David took to Twitter to respond tweeting, “So in other words, it’s time to increase the cost of goods by 20% with NO COMPLAINTS from consumers for the increase.” He breaks it down in the simplest of mathematical terms – taking away eight hours from a small business owner’s work week will only mean paying someone else to finish the work.
So in other words, it’s time to increase the cost of goods by 20% with NO COMPLAINTS from consumers for the increase.
Basic math:
40 – 32 = 8 hours
8 hours / 40 hours = 20%Small businesses will have to replace that additional 8 hours by paying someone else.

Something’s got to give — Sanders’ thought process of reducing stress with less work hours would potentially add stress in potential pay increases somewhere else.
