Netflix has announced it will be streaming a live boxing match between YouTube star Jake Paul and heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas on July 20th.
In partnership with Paul’s own Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the streaming service has exclusive ownership over the event and is set to feature several other matches in the 80,000-seat stadium home to the Dallas Cowboys.

Jake Paul, who is currently 9-1 with 6 KOs, just recently fought Ryan Bourland on March 2nd and Andre August in December 2023, scoring knockouts on both. Having proven himself again professional boxers and Golden Glove winners, Paul now wants to test himself with all-time legend Tyson, who is 50-6 with 44 KOs.

The event will be Netflix’s first venture into combat sports and its third time streaming a live sporting event, according to ESPN. Netflix signed the deal with MVP on November 1st, according to MVP co-founder Nakisa Bidarian.
“Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is a once-in-a-lifetime dream matchup and I anticipate it will be the most-watched boxing event in modern boxing history,” Bidarian said.
This will be the first official boxing match for 58-year-old Tyson since he lost to Kevin McBride in June 2005, although Tyson did go up against Roy Jones Jr. in November 2020 in what was described as an “exhibition bout.” Paul also fought at that event, winning against NBA player Nate Robinson.
“It’s crazy to think that in my second pro fight, I went viral for knocking out Nate Robinson on Mike Tyson’s undercard. Now, less than four years later, I’m stepping up to face Tyson myself to see if I have what it takes to beat one of boxing’s most notorious fighters and biggest icons,” Paul said. “Within just two and a half years of founding MVP, we’re about to produce the biggest fight in history, a fight in the biggest NFL stadium in the US, broadcast live, on the biggest streaming platform in the world – a testament to all we’ve accomplished in such a short amount of time.”
