Melania Trump has reportedly declined an invitation from First Lady Jill Biden for a traditional tea-time meeting at the White House on Wednesday, breaking with longstanding executive tradition even as their husbands finalize plans to meet in the Oval Office to discuss the transition of power. According to sources close to the matter, the invitation was declined for a number of reasons, including the FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago authorized by President Biden in 2022, which Melania described as an ‘invasion of privacy.’
“She ain’t going,” a source told The New York Post. “Jill Biden’s husband authorized the FBI snooping through her underwear drawer. The Bidens are disgusting. …Jill Biden isn’t someone Melania needs to meet.”

Some sources indicate a scheduling conflict with her memoir promotion as a reason, but others cite lingering resentment over the raid.
Traditionally, the outgoing first lady hosts the incoming first lady for tea, a custom broken in 2020 when Melania did not invite Jill Biden after Trump’s electoral defeat. Despite this, President-elect Donald Trump will meet with President Joe Biden for a post-election meeting on Wednesday.
