“When we decided to move (to Las Vegas), we wanted to move before school started, so we moved into a temporary place and we now moved into another place,” Wahlberg explains. “The plan was always to build, not only a studio but a family home. We just moved from one house to another.”
When asking what plans the family had for the upcoming holiday season, Wahlberg stated: “Well, I’m constantly busy and traveling, so I’m looking forward to getting home and spending some time with the family.”
It was reported that Wahlberg has moved from their initial Vegas home located in The Summit Club in Summerlin for an estimated $16.6 million. According to the Las Vegas Review Journal, the house was originally bought for $14.5 million.

Last year, Wahlberg shared his reasoning for moving out of Los Angeles, referencing the results from the gubernatorial election. “Hopefully we go to legislation and get a bill passed so we can get tax credits for the state, build a state-of-the-art studio here and make this Hollywood 2.0,” Mark said when he was interviewed on “The Talk.”
“I want to be able to work from home,” the actor continued, adding that he’s home at “every free moment.”
Wahlberg admitted to missing California’s weather but found worth in the move after watching his kids “thrive” in the strong community they found in Nevada.
“You have Las Vegas, and people think automatically, ‘Oh, the Strip.’ But (in) Nevada, there are wonderful communities,” he continues. “I live in a wonderful community that’s really faith-based, great schools. There’s much more to Las Vegas than the Strip.”
